Recruitment of English Lecturers

INVITES applications from qualified and eligible candidates for 4 posts of Lecturers - 2 posts under direct recruitment (one post each for Unreserved and OBC) and 2 posts on deputation basis from member-states Education Departments, viz., Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on a scale of pay of Rs.14050–350-14400-400-16800-450-19500-525-22650-600-25050 and other allowances as per the Karnataka Government Pay Rules.  Candidates appointed on deputation may retain their own scale of pay plus deputation allowance, besides HRA and CCA as per the Karnataka Pay Rules.  In-service candidates should send their applications through proper channel with an advance copy to the Director, so as to reach RIESI on or before 1.3.2010.

on 17.02.2010. The applicants may note that the last date for receiving filled in applications has been extended to 15.03.2010

QUALIFICATION:

a. MA in English I or II class (English Language and Literature)
b. A teaching degree with specialization in English

        OR

Certificate with ‘A’ grade from RIE/DTE from RIE/PGD in ELT  from RIE/PGDTE  from CIEFL(EFLU) any other equivalent qualification.

  
Desirable:

a. M.Phil (English Language and Literature).

b. SPECIALIZATION:
    ELT Methodology / Linguistics/ Phonetics / Literature / Material Production / General Education

c. Computer Literacy.

d. M. Ed.

EXPERIENCE:

5 years English teaching experience in a recognized high school/college/ELT Centre. (in case of deputation vacancies only)
