B.ED. ADMISSION NOTIFICATION

Corrigendum

Refer our advertisement in the Indian Express dated 24.12.2010, the last date for receiving of applications for One Year B.Ed. (English) Course has been extended to 11.02.2011. Interested candidates may apply.

The Institute invites applications for admission to the one year B.Ed. (English) regular semester scheme degree programme affiliated to Bangalore University and recognized by the NCTE, New Delhi for 2010 – 2011.

Admissions will be made on the basis of fulfilling the eligibility criteria and successful performance in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the RIESI.

Intake :

100 seats (16 seats for each member states viz., Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry) and 20 seats for the rest of the country.

Eligibility :
  • The candidate should have studies through 10 + 2 + 3 system of education
  • B.A. English with at least 50% in aggregate
  • B.A./ B.Sc. in other subjects with at least 50% in English language paper and 50% in aggregate (Reservation and relaxation as per Bangalore University Rules)
  • All other eligibility criteria will be as per Bangalore University norms

Details and applications form can be had from the Institute by sending a crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC / ST candidates with a proof to this effect) drawn in favour of the Director, RIESI, Bengaluru – 560056. Also available on cash payment at the Institute. Last date for receiving filled in application form is 11.02.2011. Application can be downloaded from the Institute website and fees may be remitted along with the application.
